That’s the point. Not flash. Not speed.

Just timing and patience.

Stick Energy Management? Most players treat it like ammo. They fire high-energy moves at 100% every time.

Wrong.

You burn energy when you need to force a reaction (not) because the meter is full.

Save 60% for parry recovery. Save 30% for escape resets. Use the rest only when your opponent’s animation leaves zero room to dodge.

Here’s what no one tells you: Parry & Counter isn’t about hitting the button at the right time. It’s about reading which frame the enemy commits.

Heavy sword swings? Parry on the third frame. Not the first.

Shotgun reloads? Wait until the shell clicks home. Every weapon has a tell.

It makes your shots harder. And it forces you to look up. Which means you miss what’s happening at your feet.

On Dustfall Ridge, I go to the clock tower roof first. Always. Second option: the water tower catwalk.

Third: the broken bridge support beam. But only if no one’s watching it.

Flank Porting? That’s not sneaking. That’s committing.

You pick a high-priority target. Say, the enemy healer (and) you teleport behind their spawn point, not behind their current position. Because they’ll move.

You have to predict where they’ll be in three seconds.

It works. Until it doesn’t. One mistimed port puts you in the middle of three people with full ammo.

I’ve done it. You will too.

Defensive Repositioning is smarter than running away.

Your teleport isn’t an escape button. It’s a reset switch. When things go loud, I don’t port to safety.

I use it in lane, in team fights, even when I’m low on stamina. It starts fast, ends hard, and keeps you mobile. The Light Attack resets momentum.

You don’t get stuck in place like with heavier strings.

Parry > Heavy Attack > Energy Burst? That’s for when someone overcommits. You must time the parry within 0.3 seconds of their swing (I checked).

Then you’re inside their guard, and the Energy Burst hits before they can reposition. Miss the timing? You eat a counter.

No second chances.

Who do you hit first? Healers. Ranged Damage.

Melee Damage. Tanks. Last.

Why? Because killing a healer stops three people from staying alive. A ranged DPS stays dangerous from across the map.

A tank? They’re built to take hits. Let your team soften them up.

Communication isn’t optional. It’s the difference between coordinated pressure and chaotic flailing. Say it out loud: “I’m peeling the healer” or “Focus fire on the sniper.”

Don’t assume they know.
